Doppelganger Daisy was Sloan and Alexandra's sheep. Yamu was their sheep that died because Daisy kicked her in the head. Yamu died in Noank, right near Mystic. Soon after her death Daisy was shorn. Her wool now serves as a catalyst for transformation in otherworldly relationships like human to animal. The loss of Yamu by the hoof of Daisy struck a strong desire in Sloan and Alexandra to relate and contribute. Daisy's shorn wool became Daisy's doppelganger, Sloan became Alexandra's, and together they paid remorse by re-enacting a parallel relationship. A doppelganger, being an apparition of a person not yet dead, suggests that one's presence may be a harbinger of death. Doppelganger Sloan was trying desperately to transform Alexandra into something that could be preserved forever, a sheep, an eternal symbol for youth, innocence, and purity. Daisy died recently. A dog chased her and scared her heart. She went into hiding for a couple of days and came out lethargic. She died a delayed death of fear.
